Tee pee Time

I knew exactly what my entry would be for the Craft Hoarders Anonymous challenge, "folded."  A tee pee card; where you take three 6" x 6" pieces of paper, folded diagonally, attach them as shown below using your choice of adhesive.  It's a delicate task because you want the edges aligned perfectly and very important to have a sturdy paper, this way when the card is set on it's tee pee edges the paper can hold it's own weight.   These types of cards are so dramatic and fun to give as gifts because of their uniqueness.

side ONE
The fun part is the design, you have four sides to the card to design, see:
Side TWO--I melted the sequins with my heat gun, love it!

Side THREE lots of layers and colors

and the fourth side is the inside, where I added the sentiment:
note, I used velcro dots to hold the card together.
This card can be folded flat and mailed, see:
and here are some of the scrumptious details!
This key has been in my stash forever,I love the little cardinal.

this bird and birdcage are delighful, I added stickles to the star.
This chipboard birdcage I painted, distressed and added the pearls.  The "love tag" I added the alpha stickers and attached to the birdcage with an old necklace.
(I have a thing for birdcages and birds)
The gold, silver and bronze "beads" are from a christmas floral arrangement.  I thought they looked terrific tucked in between the flowers.

This card will be perfect for someone at the hospital where they can prop it up on the window sill or beside table. Note the butterfly stamp tucked under the flowers.  I love stamps, have collected them since I was a little girl and love to find little places to put them in my work.

Thanks for coming by for some Puddin N Pie.

Come join along at the
WEEKLY ROUND-UP at HIGH-HEELED LOVE

This week I found inspiration all over the web for card designs.  It's just amazing the talent and diversity a person can find in the blog world.
Look at this gorgeous Butterfly found at
My Creative Chaos

I so dig this summertime colors in this birthday card.  I am totally going to make something with this color scheme! Can we say Pinned!  Follow all my Pinterest boards because they are way cool.
Paper. Markers, Ink, Oh MY!

This takes a lot of patience(something I don't have a lot of) and even-handedness to color in a stamped image. Amazing!

Let's take a joy ride

I thought the Tim Holtz antique truck was so appropriate for this card(going to a friend who is opening a car shop).  I'm thinking I might remove two of the fussy cut street lamps and leave only one one on the card, what do you think? Keep it or take them off?

I'm entering this card into the Color Throwdown Challenge Blog, working with these colors. The pink in the card photographs more orange than pink.  bummer.

Here's what was going on behind the scenes
Sookie our 4 year old kitten
I added the brad on the corner of the truck to follow the guidelines for this challenge blog, Butterfly Challenge Blog.  Where I followed the tic-tac-toe board with butterflies, flowers and wet(heat) embossing. The car and the fussy cut lamp posts are heat embossed.  The colors on this brad match perfectly with the color challenge, I couldn't believe it when I found this in my brad stash!  I have way too much stash.

Breaking News, Giant Cat photo bombs Puddin N Pie

This just in
Giant cat photo bombs
It's a great picture of our kitten(4 years old) Sookie.
Why do they always want to be in the photos, unless you're trying to take a photo and they don't want anything to do with it.
note, this is her chair-see all the fur?

I love hot air balloons, they seem so magical! I would love to go to New Mexico's Hot Air Balloon festival and experience it first hand.  I'm adding this whimsical card to the challenges at these blogs:

The Friday Mashup-moveable parts or stripes.  (I should've made one of those balloons moveable. dangit)
The Color Throwdown-these colors below.  (my pink paper photographs more orange-y)

You're a Dear!

I love these colors!! They just pop right off the page and say--look at me!
The Friday Mashup asked us to create something with trees and/or embossed.  I decided to go with this adorable silhouette image from the Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge.  It turned out CUTE, if I do say so myself.
check out this brad....

Oh Deer Me!!

I used the Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge to create this sweet birthday card.  These photos really don't do it justice, too bad--because you would be ASTOUNDED by my talent!

The colors for this card are inspired by the Colour Me Challenge Blog

In this shot you can see the brown, pink, blue. I added some green distress ink to the trees and glossy accents to the deer and squirrel silhouette to make them more visible.
I just LOVE how this brad from my stash goes so well with the colors!  At first the Happy Birthday was stamped and heat embossed on the brown paper of this card--but it didn't turn out well at all. (read: disaster)
So, I added the vellum with the hand stamped sentiment to cover that up.  I think it works pretty well for something that caused me quite a bit of anguish at first.

Whoo's wishing you a Happy Birthday

Happy Memorial Day bloggy friends.  While you're BBQing today please take a minute to remember Memorial Day is to honor our soldiers who were killed in action.  Check out a link at the end of this blog for a soldiers memorial that is very dear to my heart.

This card is a little owl-y card made for a friend who loves owls.  I dressed him up for the occasion with a party hat and bow tie.

.  Cause everyone needs a bow tie, right?

Here I am way back in 1983 with my very own bow tie--
I wore a lot of them back then. I thought it was hip.

This cool challenge blog: Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers has this challenge open for 4 more days.  Go check it out and add your entry.
Although this card turned out super cute, it started out as a cheap pack of $1 cards from Michaels.  After I bought them and opened the pack up I thought, "what the heck am I going to do with this?"
But. I flipped it over and added some sequins and it turned out pretty cute!

I'm entering this cute card into the color challenge at Color Throwdown Challenge Blog
you can see a tiny bit of the blue in right corner.

And finally, this cute transformed cheap card is entered into the challenge at Shopping Our Stash
where they are celebrating their birthday with a birthday challenge.

Here's an interesting(to me) website that talks about some of our soldiers. NSDQ

Monday is a lame way to spend 1/7 of your life & Weekly Roundup

I have this hate/hate relationship with Mondays.
You know what I'm talking about.
It's REALLY the Sunday afternoon blues-the moment on Sunday afternoon when you realize that tomorrow at this time you'll be at work. Sux Eggs.....

But I've found a new way to celebrate my new week with

Where I can share some of my interesting blog finds from this  week and you can too!  Click on the button above to see what's what!

At the Pickleope blog I laughed my thrifted socks off at her yard sale antics. Be warned this is a NC-17 rated blog and its so fun being naughty!

Karen at Dreaming and Creating  made a cute Halloween frame, reminding me that this year is speeding by!! She used dominos(not the pizza) and alcohol ink, which I love, not because I can make a margarita(cause I can't-durn it) But, because I can mix the colors, layer them and make so many different variations.

And, finally, another favorite blog is Frieda Oxenham, she and I must be sisters from another mother because we have very similar tastes.  This week she shares photos from Dawyck--don't know what that is?  Me either!  That's why I included the link-silly.

Imagine to bloom and Grow

Imagine a world of purple flowers and pink skies
I'm in!!

This delightful card has an inside sentiment that says, Keep Growing Every Day(forgot to take that photo)

This picture is lousy! I'm thinking about buying this camera-does anyone else have one?  Shoot me some comments about the types of cameras you use. I'd like some feedback.

It has an added wifi connection and I'm not ready to buy one of those BIG cameras--although I sure would like one!  This one is more in my budget...kinda.
I'll enter this card in the color challenge at Color Me Scrappy Blog
There is still plenty of time to complete a paper craft and she has a wonderful prize this month: It's a Tim Holtz distressed marker spritzer!  Only the hottest new tool on the market!!

These colors are just divine, aren't they!  And, look at the photo inspiration-so pretty.
I have the two shades of pinky purple, the light green is in the flower steams and the purply/brown is the background for the word "Imagine"

I happened to find in my stash this beautiful purple flower patterned paper that fits the color scheme.
Plus, it fits wonderfully into the challenge at Words 2 Scrap By, this month the theme is "Bloom Where you are Planted."
I added glossy accents to the flower blooms to add some dimension.  As a side note, the card itself was from a pack of cards from the dollar bin at Michaels.  They were PURPLE and I couldn't resist!  But, then I opened the pack and realized how flimsy and cheap they were.  Now, I've added two more layers of paper to the background purple.
That's how I roll.

I forgot to mention in a post a few days ago I did the say thing with a set of $1 christmas cards. I'm sure you guys are so smart you've already figured this out.  It too me a little longer than your average bear.

Pop on over to both blog challenges to add your own projects.
