How'd you do that!?

Trying something from Crafting Journey toot ! I was visiting different blogs today and ran across this tutorial on how to add pictures side-by-side on my blog.  I can NEVER get my pictures to line up, so I just had try this out!

A few years back, my little brown eyed girl chose to raise money for St. Balderick's. Ever heard of it?  It's an organization that raises funds to fight childhood cancer.  The premise is, you raise money to shave your head on St. Patty's day.  Here's a link to their homepage St.Baldricks.  My little girl had this long luxurious brown hair, but she raised $1500 and followed through by shaving her head.  Then true to her style, she rocked the look.  Check it out!

Breaking and entering at the cookie office.

Hello Dear Followers,
This girl has had a long week in my work life..
Many of you know that I work for Girl Scouts (of Middle TN)

And, although I'm not selling the cookies, I'm managing a whole bunch of little brownies selling!  There are truck loads and truck loads of cookies in Middle TN right now.  If your area isn't selling cookies yet...then drive on over to Middle TN.  Come get you some!

But, besides all the cookie drama...there was a break in at the Girl Scout office this week.

No.

I'm

not

kidding.

Thursday night some thug broke into my office building and not only thrashed my office, but several other offices.
What the hell did he think he was going to find in the Girl Scout office?
And, oh, by the way....the burglar left my 7 year old laptop that was sitting there so nicely--just waiting for a new home.
He can grab a jar of change worth about $20
but
not
a
seven
year
old
laptop.

That I need replaced anyway!?  Couldn't he have at least vandalized it, show some mercy!  Then I could've claimed it on the insurance and got a new one.
But,
NOOOOOOOO
the guy goes for the shiny quarters.
All I gotta say is....come back you darn thug...come get this great, wonderful, perfect shape(actually missing several keys on the keys board and the touch pad doesn't work anymore.)
**raising fist in the air**

By the way, no cookies were harmed or stolen in the incident.

Hold on Sunday, I ain't ready for Monday

It's another lazy Sunday in Nashville TN.  There was a spittering of snow here for the first time this year.  But, that snow has long melted and now it's just a rainy, dreary day.

Remember several posts ago I confessed that I haven't put any photo albums or scrapbooks together for probably 20 years.

I decided to tackle a little bit of that by making my little brown eyed girl a scrapbook. It will probably take awhile...but that doesn't matter, does it?

I recently purchased some Tattered Angel glimmer mists and some mistable papers....
The background paper was originally white with printing.  I sprayed it with cranberry  zing, patina and suede.

Don't tell the MR. but I do believe I'll need to purchase some more of those.....I have recently had to join the local Paper Addict Anonymous(PAA) because of my need for paper.  Yesterday I should've been running other errands, instead I was handling, smelling and eyeing the paper at my local dealer--Michaels.

I'm including this layout in the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge by using brads and eyelets.
Note the black flower brads with delicious pearl centers.  There is also a brad in the tag, but it's hard to see.

I'm not sure about the tag with the "circa". It's a little hard to read.
I added a doily, spraying it with the patina (I was using that spray for a lot of stuff today)
I threaded a black ribbon through the doily and used a bit of RAK from Gerri Herbst fun little game!
Using my Cricut cartridges: Cindy Loo for the frame, Savory for "SWEET" I had originally planned  on putting "Sour" on the page too...but decided against it.
I was 27 and my girl was 6.  (the girl is now 25, soon to be 26)  My how time flies.
I may add some more to this page...but that's the fun, right?

Card pattern 152

Hello All,
It's been a crazy busy world in the Girl Scout cookie business this week.  Cookies were delivered last week....I should post some of those pictures.  Watch for a posting this week.  Additionally, I've had a whole bunch of other things going on and I have so missed visiting the blog world.

Here's my entry into the Card Pattern weekly challenge.

I challenged myself to be more creative this year...to enjoy playing with my new cricut machine and to participate in more challenges.  Soooo....here's my entry:

Simple, yet elegant. One of my favorite laces on the planet. Should have taken a close up of it.

Every year for several now, I have celebrated  "Love your sister" day  I am pushing for it to become a National Holiday.  One day...one day!  They have fathers day, mothers day, grandparents, bosses day, secretaries day, ground hog day, why not Sister Day!

remember, I'm the cute on in the front.....

Here are my other 4 sister's cards.

A little over the top with embellishes, but hey, why not!

for the crossword puzzle lover.

I love the banner, the brown and blue and the little bird perched on the heart.

simple and a little quirky.  Was trying a little something different.
See you tomorrow!  (it's Saturday!)

Monday is a lame way to spend 1/7 of your life.

Most everyone that reads my blog regularly knows that I'm on a mission to ban Mondays.  And, today is no different.  BUT, if we have to get moving and head to work...let's start out the week with some kick A$$.  Last night's grammy performance of Katy Perry.  Which to me was saying F-you to Russell Brand.

Watch the live performance and no...it isn't a technical difficulty....

Love your sister day.

I'm entering this card into the Card Patterns Challenge Sketch #151 It's my first card to enter into this blog challenge.

I need to invest in a better camera.

Love My Sis

Each year I send my sisters a little prezzy to tell 'em how much I love them.  It's started several years ago when I was whining to myself about being single on Valentines Day...I was single for 11 years--loooonnnnggg time.  So, I decided, "I'm not whining anymore!"  And decided to share my love with my sisters on the 13th.  I would like to declare it a National Holiday and get the credit for creating the holiday.  (I'm not humble am I).
So, Women of Blog Land...go celebrate your sisters on February 13th.  Show them how much you love them!

This is  a very busy weekend for me!  This is why!

I have three deliveries this weekend...no gym for me!

Dirt and Glitter cover the Floor

We are back with a popular feature for this blog!
Sing a long Thursdays!
Every morning I wake up with a song in my head and on Thursday I try to share that song with you.
So...
Let's get to it!

Have you been surfing your tv channels and ever run across a video where unicorns are wearing tuxedos, dancing with each other and then a gun fight breaks out in the middle of the dance floor.  Hundreds of innocent unicorns are shot and bleed rainbows?
No?
Never?
Oh, then you are in for a treat!
And here's the video. You'll probably hate it, but ...you're here on my blog.....I can download any video I want...Watch it and be intrigued or completedly revolted. Your choice.
PS. No mythical creatures were harmed in the making of this video.

News Day Tuesday

Something new for the puddin n pie blog!  I wanted to do something different, something interesting, something noteworthy.  I've decided to feature what's trending in the world of news today...
small print....this news will only be fun, silly and purely delightful content.
If you want the real news...go turn on CNN. just saying.

As a long time fan of Steven Tyler, why not start out our News day Tuesday with a story about him.

Steven Tyler botches the Star Spangled Banner? Huh, what you talkin' about. To me, it sounded like Steven Tyler singing the Star Spangled Banner. He opens that mouth up and screams...that's his thing...that's his MO.  His style is hot, charismatic and steamy (in my opinion). My only wish was  that the video would actually show more of him and not the stupid football players. Who cares about football?

I'm participating in the Creations by Tee Monthly Tag swap....Here's my entries,

Flip side!

I'm  also linking this to Pink Saturday
If you stop by Pink Saturday, look for the link to  Counting my Blessings and visit her adorable vintage Valentines card. lovely!

Monday is a lame way to spend 1/7 of your life!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work we go....  If you follow my Monday blog posts you  know that I'm on a campaign to ban Mondays. Please join me in banning Mondays from our work week.

Well since we can't actually ban the Mondays today, let's do a little Sing-a-long....
Sing with me now...
I especially like when the fawn uses it's tail to dust. I wish I had a cute little swishy- tail to dust with...if you read my posting from yesterday--then you know how much I LoVe to dust. bwwaaaahhhhaaaaaaa

One more little thing....here's my take on Simply Sunday Challenge where the theme is "Fantasy Land." For some reason the photo came out with a yellow light. (hate it)

I ditched the bow...

Happy Monday ya'll!
Whistle while you work today!

Hold on Sunday, I ain't ready for Monday

It's Sunday! That means only a few short hours and it will be Monday and back to work. Durn.....so hold on Sunday...I ain't ready for Monday!

It's February 5th and the weather has been so warm, that the flowers are already blooming.  I chose this vintage picture of my mom with 2 of her little girls and her lovely flower garden.   In the picture with my mother, is the baby in the family, Nancy.  She has this gorgeous red hair that every girl would die for...Sitting next to my mom is my twinny, Jaymie.

How can I tell?
With close examination, with a magnifying glass, I can see that this little blonde doesn't have my signature dimples.

No really, that's the only way we could tell each other apart in old photos.
Let's pause for just a mom to enjoy the shadow of my mother on the door.  Isn't that yumminess?

Below is a close up of the dimples in action.

dimples in action.  don't hate....I can't help that I'm so freaking cute

Notice the pile of girls on my poor dad!  My parents still live in this home where they raised 6 girls.
Every Spring Mom takes everything down from the knotty pine walls and dusts, the walls, books, knick knacks and photos. It's a big job, she used to make us girls do it and we hated it.  Who wants to dust? I hate dusting today...did too much of it when I was a kid.

In honor of Super Bowl Sunday and the great commercials that go along with it, here is one of my all time favorite commercials. Sookie, the kitten, can't wait for her thumbs!

By the way, the giveaway went so well in honor of my mom's birthday...so watch for a similar giveaway come April in honor of my pops!  He'll be 84, April 3rd.
