And, since the news is depressing, let's  have a little something to make us laugh, shall we?

The top 3 trending topics on Yahoo this morning:
1. Fred Matau dies...who is he?  No disrespect someone passing is someone leaving family behind.  followed the story like a good journalist would and this fella is a 28 year old football player who died of a heart condition. omg. so sad for the family.  
2. Kirk Urso dies...who is this guy?  Again, see above.  This was a 22 year old soccer player who collapsed in a bar and no cause of death has been determined.  Geez, sorry to be such a downer today.  Condolences to the family.  
3. Macaulay Culkin..now, I know who this fella is, child actor from theHome Alone movie fame, is reported to have a drug problem.  REALLY!?  Can today be anymore depressing?  I hope he finds rehab.  


Let's end this posting on something much more interesting to me and very light hearted!  lets skip to the fourth trending topic on Yahoo.....
4. McDonald's Curly Fries.  Seriously this is news.  (it is my kinda news....see previous postings about my girlish figure.)

First off, before I get to the news. Let's look at this fabulous piece of blown glass. If you ever get a chance to see an exhibit of Chihuly Glass--GO. GO. GO. It is the most amazing blown glass eVeR.

1. the shooter that shall not be named.  What the heck is coming of this world that someone has to go into a movie theater and shoot people. Did he think he was playing Grand Theft Auto?  which by the way, the MR has recently purchased and plays all the time.  I see now why parents don't want their kids to play that game. Bring back Mario**fist raised in protest**


2.American Idol hosts.  I've never been a fan of the AI franchise, it never floated my boat. Me, I'm a Survivor Fanatic--AI  can go sing a solo without me.  But wait, hold the phone, Steven Tyler was a host for a bit.  And as creepy as he is now, he's still a hunkkaa hunka Steven-freakin-Tyler.  Yumminess. 


3, Ashton Kutcher. love him or hate him for dumping Demi, but for me he's a keeper.  Personality plus a sense of humor. He can eat crackers on my couch anytime.

But wait, Russell Hantz, self proclaimed best player of Survivor ever, will be on Big Brother. Gawd, he's one of the characters that you love to hate. Won't be watching BB, bring on Survivor. 

3. Whoot Whoot! Looks like gas prices will continue to drop. Good, I'm about to take a little road trip.

I had to investigate all of these to make sure what I was reporting was concise and accurate. 

Oh, wait, this is MY blog....and I do have that stipulation thingy above--this isn't really news.  

So, my take

1. Kate is a gold digger--really?  She married a prince. gee, you're just jealous.  
Me? I'm jealous of her sister Pippa who's back side single cheeked(get it butt cheek?) crashed Twitter.  Hence picture above.  Now this really is a fact: Pippa's  pretty little tush caused 67 tweets per second during the royal wedding.  REALLY people.....there are little kids in Africa starving. stop looking at her booty.  

2. Jenaba who?  do really need to google that one..if you know who/what this is, then do enlighten me!

3. Anderson Cooper gay, duh!

Heidi Klum stood up!?

Heidi Klum stood up!?
How is it possible to stand up the woman once know as "The Body."
But not just because she has that body, but just because she was adorable.  She seems to have a charm about her (plus she is German!)  and is anyone just a upset as I am that her and Sting are splitting up.

Heidi was at a UNICEF fundraiser where celebrities where singing karoake to raise money.  Smokey Robinson was supposed to sing with Heidi and he stood her up.
How does that happen?
But Heidi was nonplussed said,  "Smokey stood me up. He was supposed to sing My Girl with me. Will anybody else sing with me?"  The host suggested everyone help with a rendition of YMCA. Tom Hanks and wife was the first to jump  on the stage to help Heidi out!

As a long time fan of Steven Tyler, why not start out our News day Tuesday with a story about him.

Steven Tyler botches the Star Spangled Banner? Huh, what you talkin' about. To me, it sounded like Steven Tyler singing the Star Spangled Banner. He opens that mouth up and screams...that's his thing...that's his MO.  His style is hot, charismatic and steamy (in my opinion). My only wish was  that the video would actually show more of him and not the stupid football players. Who cares about football?
