Really, Monday Already?

The only good thing about Mondays is that it's one day closer to Friday.
I'm still on a mission to ban Monday work days, all my protest letters to my local political officials have been signed, sealed and delivered (not really).  Now we wait.

it's a go.....

I've been invited to consign some of my art at a new shop here in my city, the shop is one of those quaint cottages made into commercial businesses.  I'm so excited, ya'll!  Check out the link to The White Dove

Here's one of my first pieces I'm working on....please remember it's a work in progress and has a whole lot more work to it.  If you squint your eyes just right you may be able to see where I'm going with it.

you can't see it very clearly...but it will eventually say, "Sing a new Song" and the birdie will  stand out more.  Can't wait to try some of my new techniques I'm learning.  Whoopie!

 I'm also working on a blog header and business cards, etc.  I'm leaning toward something with these two favorite little characters: Pepe(the one antenna-ed ladybug) and Myrtle--the cute one.  The MR named these cute little hand-me-down salt/pepper shakers...he named them after us.

By the way..for those of you that know I'm on a personal crusade to BAN Mondays from our calendars will like to know that incidents that happened today proving that Mondays are a bad idea.

Let's see if I can put this in a polite way, so as not to offend, or to end up in a file in my personnel folder at work.  We had a department conference call and well.....the...uhm....pressure is on.

That's all I can say.

Well...I guess I could say one more thing. At the end of this hairy day, the fella in the office next door to mine, (works for another company), stuck his head in my office door and said, "You ok?"
"Sure." I says with not much conviction (thinking to myself--oh, if I could only say what I really think)
The fella asks again, "Are you sure?  Have you looked in the mirror?"
Feeling a bit embarrassed, "I said, no....why?"
"You look like you've been riding in a convertible and your hair is wind blown!"
Needless to say...there was no riding in a convertible for me.  I'm guessing unconsciously I was pulling my hair while working through some of Monday(durn you Monday**raising hand in air and fist pumping**) problems.

Welcome Tuesday......

My effort to ban mondays is coming along just fine....as a stand against Mondays I am taking the day off from work.
 Yeah, that's right.
Not going to work today.
Not gonna do it!
I'm going to stay in my pjs until I have to...

But, wait...I'm still going to work.
I am working with a local charity to put on an event. Lots of work today--but in a good way!

Don't we all really want to complain about getting up early and running out the door to work.  So, why not be freaking honest about it. Why not make this a safe place to complain about our work, coworkers, bosses and our jobs in general.   Hence the title of this posting!
I hereby ban Mondays from the calendar.

Most everyone that reads my blog regularly knows that I'm on a mission to ban Mondays.  And, today is no different.  BUT, if we have to get moving and head to work...let's start out the week with some kick A$$.  Last night's grammy performance of Katy Perry.  Which to me was saying F-you to Russell Brand.

Darn if Monday hasn't come around again!  I still believe our work week should start on Tuesday, instead of Mondays.  Then take Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off.  Whaddya think?

Mondays.....yuck....I still go back to my proposal that we don't start work until tuesdays...or like my hubby says, maybe we should start work on Thursdays and finish on Fridays.  He may have something there!

I do believe this is what I would do if I worked from home! Is that TMI?

Another Monday and it's time for work again.  Maybe we should start work on Tuesday instead of Monday, then we wouldn't hate Mondays so much.  Whaddya think?

I'm working on building readership and have been asking other bloggers advice.  Thanks to Teresa at The Alterered Paper for some great advice. One piece of advice was to blog everyday.  I love blogging so very much and want to find a way to make your stop here memorable.  The MR and I were thinking of some clever themes for each day of the week.  At first we were thinking Magnificent Motivational Monday.  Which is a wonderful way to start the week.   But, pooey, don't we all (most of the time) hate Mondays. 

Don't we all really want to complain about getting up early and running out the door to work.  So, why not be freaking honest about it. Why not make this a safe place to complain about our work, coworkers, bosses and our jobs in general.   Hence the title of this posting!

For me, I love my job more than any other job I've held.  Every single day I work with some wonderful women and get to see little girls change lives right in their own towns or around the world.

But, a job is a job sometimes and sometimes I'd like to do what this guy does...except maybe for ripping my shirt off.  (disclaimer: I am in no way saying I want to quit my job or that you should quit yours..)
