What are you doin' New Year's Eve--sing-a-long

Wellll....hellllooooo friends!  What will you do this New Year's eve?  Do leave me a comment and tell me!  I've been very busy with a christmas gift--a Cricut Expression!  Yep, that's what I said, the MR and family gave me this fun little machine.  I just had to find a place, which meant moving lots of furniture around and then getting everything set up.  Tomorrow I'll post some pictures of project I've been working on!

Channelling my inner Caffe and a fun giveaway!

Hey Peeps!
One of my favorite blog Caffeinated OC Mommy , Caffe has a way to say exactly what I want to say, but always keep my mouth shut.  But, heck, what's a blog for, but to say what you want.  And, bullocks on your opinion.  I like that English curse word.  

So...I've just had several exchanges with someone my father would call a DING-BAT. I am off work for vacation, but am attempting to help this DINGBAT with a problem SHE created. Oh and did I mention there hasn't been a thank you?  Not one.
Not one, "Thank you so much for taking this time while you are officially on vacation."
Not one, "Don't bother with this right now. We'll talk on Monday." 
Here's what I get: attitude, I should do whatever I can to make this happen.

What I want to say is, "forget it, we'll deal on Monday." And maybe even a few curse words....

Mommy's Jiggle Bell!

It was the night before Christmas, when all thru the abode
Only one creature was stirring, and she was cleaning the commode.
The children were finally sleeping, all snug in their beds,
While visions of Playstation 3 and Barbie, flipped through their heads.

 
The dad was snoring in front of the TV,
With a half-constructed bicycle on his knee.
So only the mom heard the reindeer hooves clatter,
Which made her sigh, "Now what's the matter?"
 
With toilet bowl brush still clutched in her hand,
She descended the stairs, and saw the old man.
He was covered with ashes and soot, which fell with a shrug.
"Oh great," muttered the mom, "Now I have to clean the rug."
 
 
"Ho-ho-ho!" cried Santa, "I'm glad you're awake."
"Your gift was especially difficult to make."
"Thanks, Santa, but all I want is some time alone."
"Exactly!" he chuckled, "I've made you a clone."
 
 
"A clone?" she asked, "What good is that?
Run along, Santa, I've no time for chit-chat."
The mother's twin. Same hair, same eyes,
Same double chin.
 
 
"She'll cook, she'll dust," She'll mop every mess.
You'll relax, take it easy, Watch The Young & the Restless."
"Fantastic!" the mom cheered. "My dream come true!
"I'll shop. I'll read., I'll sleep a whole night through! "


From the room above, the youngest began to fret.
"Mommy?! I scared... and I am wet."
The clone replied, "I'm coming, sweetheart."
"Hey," the mom smiled, "She knows her part."
 
The clone changed the small one, and hummed a tune,
as she bundled the child, in a blanket cocoon.
"You the best mommy ever. " I really love you."
The clone smiled and sighed, "I love you, too."
 
The mom frowned and said, "Sorry, Santa, no deal. "
That's my child's love, she's trying to steal."
Smiling wisely Santa said, "To me it is clear, "
Only one loving mother, is needed here."
 
The mom kissed her child, and tucked her into bed.
"Thank you, Santa, for clearing my head.
I sometimes forget, it won't be very long,
When they'll be too old, for my cradle-song."
 
The clock on the mantle began to chime.
Santa whispered to the clone, "It works every time."
With the clone by his side Santa said, "Goodnight. Merry Christmas, Mom, You'll be all right."

We had our family xmas party this weekend and although there were no illegal substances or even alcoholic beverages (or at least...no one shared anything with me) 

It was a Seay family FrEE-for-all!

I had to stop at my office one night after dark.  As I was leaving the parking lot, there was something "rolling" across the road. 
"Hmm," I thought.  Wonder what that is?  I clicked on my bright headlights and could tell it was an animal. 
"Wow, I wonder what kind of animal runs like that(kind of hopping)?"  I pulled up closer
and

then I saw...

....

"YIKES!"  I jammed my foot onto the gas pedal and zoomed away from the little skunk.....
After I was a safe distance from him I laughed and laughed and laughed.  I was so interested in finding out what little animal butt I was following that I almost got squirted with skunk smell!

Here in Nashvillle TN they are calling for SNOW--yes, that's right!  I didn't type the incorrect word.  I said SNOW.

Sweet Saturday!

What a lovely day it is in Nashville TN.  Today, the forecast is for sunny skies, close to 70 degree weather and lovely laziness in the Horn household!  Alright!!

What else is sweet around the house?  How about these sweet Christmas trees I made for the holiday sale a few weeks ago. I was happy to sell them, but even happier to bring them home!

First this xmas tree started like this:

I stripped the shades of their shades (thank you MR, for your help).  I found these at the local thrift store.

I put it all together, adding a SWEETTTTT white peacock from Joanns.

5.My hubby says I have ESPoo.  Everytime I call him he's on the toilet....(I know TMI)

6.  My first car was a 1976 VW Beetle, I so miss that car.  My bestie gave me a pair of blue fuzzy dice to hang from the mirror.  I never should have sold it!

7. I went to my very first music concert when I was 20 years old and 3 months pregnant--it was to see the band: Loverboy.  ahahahaaaaaa...
